Where Is The Counterrevolution?

It’s hard to get away from.

Burning police cars, broken store windows and in short, domestic terrorism.

This is the face of the black lives matter movement in America.

They use a statement that everyone can agree with, “Black Lives Matter”, to back an organization that is anti-american, anti-police and Marxist in nature. If you don’t support the organization, they can say you don’t believe black lives matter and are therefore a racist.

I’ve gotten into a couple of scrapes on social media for expressing this truth. For some strange reason, some people still believe that thought and action should be based on skin color. I had to deal with this garbage a lot growing up.

The BLM movement is a sham. They and the politicians that back them exploit the struggles of black communities to gain political power.

I came across an article the other day that brought to light the makeup and motives of the BLM movement and it’s sister movement ANTIFA. Neither one is about justice. It’s about division and power. They seek to divide the United States between the “victimized nonwhites” and the “victimizing, capitalist, racist and evil whites. They are willing to offer amnesty and even protection for businesses, counties, cities and individuals that give into their demands.

They want to reform society based on race in media, education, sports etc. and hiring diversity staff to get that done.

The way I see it, it’s very similar to the Ku Klux Klan enforcing Jim Crow laws through violence and intimidation in the 19th and 20th centuries.

Through this intimidation, violence and corruption, their leaders are getting rich.

Where is the counterrevolution? Where are the people refusing to bow down to this agenda?

I’ve seen a few incidents of conservatives showing up to protests armed to the teeth, wearing “back the blue” t-shirts and proudly waving american flags. This is all well and good but is it enough?

I don’t think so.

The only thing that can counter this movement of hate and division is one of love and unity.

The best counter to a world filled with hatred is the gospel.

One of the reasons the gospel message of Jesus Christ is so controversial is because it calls out humanity for a messed up nature and heart and states that only by surrender to a holy God can humanity be redeemed and saved from His wrath.

It’s a gospel that says that all humanity is made in the image of God and is therefore worthy of respect.

It’s a gospel of love, forgiveness and sacrifice.

It’s a gospel that says the greatest are not those who strive to lead but those who strive to serve.

The gospel is the counterrevolution and the church make up the counterrevolutionaries.

The gospel is the remedy for a hurting world reeling from the effects of sin.

My hope is that in the darkness of these movements, Coronavirus, corrupt politicians whatever else 2020 throws at us, the church will shine all the brighter!

It’s time for revival!

Free your mind, free your heart.

And most importantly…

Live Free!
